Dynamic is my ode to, my legacy to Girls with coily hair so they can reimagine and dreams in a world where their hair isn't a burden but rather, dynamic and powerful - your ally and friend. It's complicated for me to explain institutional racism in the context of African-American women's hair and the devastating effects it has on our internal self-esteem, but this is my love letter. I hope that they can see it differently. This is New Age Black folklore, not just Black folklore but American folklore.
